BluJuniper is a small woman owned business specializing in offering management consulting and IT professional services. Our service offerings include Corporate & IT Governance, Project/Program Management, Data Analytics, Financial Solutions, Cloud implementation, and Cybersecurity.   We are looking for a director to join our executive team and support the organization forward by developing and implementing an aggressive growth roadmap in alignment with BluJuniper’s corporate capabilities and focus areas. 

Job Location Washington, DC Area

Position Summary: Develop and Capture new federal government business using existing contract vehicles and set-asides as well as partnership. Lead the BD organization and manage to annual aggressive growth quotas.  The ideal candidate has led an organization through aggressive sales growth successfully with similar focus as BluJuniper’s capabilities and focus

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the company’s business development strategic planning development and execution
  • Lead deployment of the Company’s vision, strategies, and tactics
  • Develop, execute, and monitor an aggressive growth strategy but sound sales and marketing effort through partnership and client intimacy
  • Develop a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities for BluJuniper in alignment with BluJuniper’s strategic plan, service practice areas, and 
  • Continue to build relationships with federal agencies as well as partners in alignment with BluJuniper industry
  • Identifies price to win source data and performs price to win analysis
  • Lead proposal development and offering for BluJuniper
  • Coordinate and facilitate activities and commitments with other departments and/or functions
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization


  • Minimum 5 years of experiences leading business development organizations successfully in federal government contracting 
  • Solid experience in selling to one or more of the following departments and/or agencies within DHS, NGA, HHS, Air Force, or Treasury
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Experienced with federal government contract sales lifecycle and knowledge on GWACs
  • Strong relationship with small and large system integrators in the federal government contracting area
  • Experienced in federal government IT professional services needs, target agency decision makers, and departmental forecast for IT needs
  • Must possess advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Planning and organization, project management, and time management skills
  • Ability to work on complex problems
  • Knowledge of Company products, markets and technology
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Must be comfortable in leading a company in startup mode
  • Must have the ability to travel
