Doug Lane

Doug Lane is the retired Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Capgemini, a global technology and management consulting firm. CGS is a FOCI-mitigated entity and operates under a Special Security Agreement with the United States Government. Mr. Lane led CGS for nine years from 2014 through 2023. He was responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of CGS and guiding the delivery of a diverse range of solutions for U.S. Federal Government agencies. During his tenure at CGS, Mr. Lane transformed the business from a small civilian- focused entity into a large consultancy supporting major programs across the federal landscape. He led the acquisition and integration of VariQ to improve access to key contract vehicles including Alliant II.

Mr. Lane has a forty-year career building and leading professional service organizations to serve government and private sector clients. After beginning his career as a Systems Analyst at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (1983), he joined Price Waterhouse in 1987 and was elected as Partner in 1997. While at Price Waterhouse / PwC, he built and led consulting groups focused on technology capabilities and commercial industry verticals. Major clients included United Parcel Service, JP Morgan, Duke Energy, American Red Cross, Disney, Sprint, and Nextel.

After PwC’s consulting business was acquired by IBM, Mr. Lane joined Booz Allen Hamilton as a Vice President in 2006 where he led Booz Allen’s information technology capability for the Federal Health market. He was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2009 and assumed responsibility for Booz Allen’s Transportation business.

Mr. Lane is a Board Director and member of the Executive Committee of the Professional Services Council (PSC) which is the voice of the government technology and professional services industry, representing the full range and diversity of the government services sector. Mr. Lane is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Y of Central Maryland and is an active member of their Mission Impact committee.

From 2014 to 2020, Mr. Lane was Chairman of the Talent and Compensation Committee and a member of the Board of Directors for UMUC Ventures, a not-for-profit organization that develops innovative businesses and partnerships, supporting efforts to reduce the cost of higher education for adult learners while addressing the workforce needs of the 21st century. During this period , he was responsible for several CEO searches for subsidiary companies and involved in the sale of a subsidiary (HelioCampus) to an Ed-Tech venture fund.

Mr. Lane previously served on the Board of Directors of the Linwood Center, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with autism spectrum disorder. He served on the Linwood board from 2005 to 2014 and was the Chairman of the Board’s Compensation Committee.

Mr. Lane is a three-time winner of the prestigious Wash100 award. Selected by Executive Mosaic, the Wash100 is comprised of the most significant and impactful executives in the government contracting sector.

Mr. Lane has a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Towson State University. He is the father of two adult children and lives in in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
